Mark Pohar has been appointed chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Saint Joseph”™s Medical Center in Yonkers. He has more than 30 years experience in a wide range of health care organizations from acute care, long-term skilled rehabilitation to behavioral health. Most recently he was executive director of Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center at Health Alliance Hospital a member of Westchester Medical Center Health network.
A licensed RN, Pohar earned a Certificate of Long-Term Care from New York Medical College; a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Pace University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pace University. He is also a Fellow of The American College of Health Care Administrators and Fellow of National Academy of Directors of Nursing Administration.
