Two doctors promoted within the team are Dr. Patricia Calayag as chief medical officer responsible for overseeing all clinical programs, and Dr. Sandra Kesh to vice president and chief of population health.
Since appointed deputy medical director in 2018, Calayag managed the implementation of Westmed”™s patient experience initiative. She attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut, earned her medical degree from SUNY- Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York and completed her residency training at Harvard University School of Medicine”™s Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
Kesh played an instrumental role in the development of Westmed”™s policies and protocols throughout the coronavirus pandemic and will be taking on more special projects. She received her medical degree from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center followed by a year of research in the infectious diseases division at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and a fellowship in infectious diseases and international medicine at the New YorkPresbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
