One of Westchester County”™s most prominent residents is seeking to move out amid tabloid reports of a fraying love life.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his partner of 14 years, Food Network personality Sandra Lee, are listing their home at 4 Bittersweet Lane in New Castle for $2.3 million. The couple bought the six-bedroom, 5.5-bath, 4,169-square-foot home in 2008 for $1.2 million.
While Lee has stated the sale of the property was part of a downsizing effort, the couple has been the subject of gossipy rumors that their longtime relationship was winding down. The New York Post”™s notorious Page Six section cited anonymous sources to insist Cuomo and Lee “have been living separate lives for a while, with Lee spending her time either at her Battery Park City pad in Manhattan or in California, while Cuomo is hunkering down at the Executive Mansion in Albany.”
However, Lee took to Facebook to refute the tabloid speculation. “Both Andrew and I confirmed before the breakup story ran but the story was not true,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “Both of us! But page 6 decided to run the sensationalized story anyway. Andrew and I are still very much together after 14 years. We share three beautiful daughters that I helped raise and a beautiful home, Lily Pond, where we live. We keep our lives as private as possible ”“ The exception of breast cancer and that is only to save other peoples lives!”
