Arizona AG hid truth:Â Arizona’s former Republican Attorney General, Mark Brnovich, had documents that proved there was no fraud in the 2020 election in Arizona yet kept that information hidden while promoting false claims that there was election fraud. The new attorney general in Arizona has revealed what went on. Donald Trump had been publicly pressuring Brnovich to investigate false claims of election fraud. Brnovich’s investigations found no fraud and he kept those findings hidden.
Putin courts Chinese:Â Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese Communist Party leader Wang Yi in Moscow. Putin is looking for more support from China in the war against Ukraine. Putin said he expects Chinese President Xi to visit Moscow soon.
Nipsey Hussle killer sentenced:Â The man convicted in the March 2019 killing of rap star Nipsey Hussle has been sentenced to 60 years to life in prison. Eric Ronald Holder Jr. was found guilty of killing Hussle outside of the clothing store Hussle owned in East Los Angeles. Hussle was 33 years old.
Storm havoc:Â The winter weather in the Midwest caused 1,600 flight cancellations and more than 5,000 flight delays yesterday, with more to come today as the storm moves to the east. Another storm on the West Coast has resulted in flooding, high winds, and power outages.
Israeli/Palestinian fighting:Â Israel reported Thursday that the Palestinians fired six rockets at its territory, apparently in retaliation for Israeli soldiers killing 10 Palestinians. The Israeli soldiers had staged a raid in the West Bank city of Nablus.
Jackpot winner:Â A winner has claimed the $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot prize that was awarded in January. However, the winner decided to remain anonymous and put the ticket in the name of a limited liability company. The winner decided to take a cash lump sum payout, which works out to just under $500 million after taxes. The winning ticket was bought in Lebanon, Maine.
