The Business Council of Westchester is accepting nominations for Westchester’s annual Rising Stars, or “40 under 40,” awards. The Business Council, a business advocacy and membership organization, models the awards after the national Forty Under Forty business recognition program.
“Rising Stars continues to grow and remains a vital program as we look to recognize the future leaders in Westchester County,” Marsha Gordon, president and CEO of The Business Council of Westchester, said in a statement.
Award recipients represent diverse industries, including financial services, construction, real estate, education, health care, biotechnology, information technology, retail, not-for-profit and more.
Anyone older than 21 who works in Westchester and is younger than 40 years old as of June 30 is eligible for consideration as a Rising Star. The nominator must describe the nominee”™s professional, entrepreneurial and/or personal accomplishments and leadership qualities. Nominees are asked about lessons learned, strengths and long-term goals. The deadline for nominations is April 7.
A 10-person steering committee, chaired by Maria Bronzi of Altium Wealth Management, will select the honorees based on professional accomplishments, demonstrated leadership qualities and professional and/or business affiliations. The awards ceremony will be held in June.
