Starting this month, Manhattanville College in Purchase will host a Women”™s Leadership Certificate Program.
The program is split into six work sessions throughout the fall and winter and will give participants the opportunity to use business simulation software to run their own global virtual corporation.
“The goal of this energetic certificate program, through a series of inter-connected workshops, is to inspire women leaders to think strategically, hone business and financial acumen, productively lead organizations, communicate across differences, improve skills in negotiation and situational influence and establish an executive presence,” Kathryn Meany, director of the Women”™s Leadership Institute, said. “The certificate program can be especially beneficial to mid-level female professionals with leadership aspirations.”
Faculty from the Manhattanville School of Business will facilitate the program as well as provide post-program coaching to “ensure the successful transfer of skills when participants return to their business roles.”
The six “Lead with Distinction” sessions will begin with orientation on Sept. 24 and run through January 2016. The workshops will be held on the Manhattanville campus.
