The Westchester County Board of Legislators Monday unanimously passed a $121 million budget for Westchester Community College’s 2012-2013 school year.
The budget raises tuition for full-time students by $130 to $4,280 a year, an increase of 3 percent.
The cost per credit increases from $173 to $179.
The college”™s departmental budget for the 2012-2013 year, which runs from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31, 2013, is $118.5 million. The capital budget is just under $2.6 million.
Westchester County taxpayers will foot the bill for 23 percent, or $27.8 million, of the college”™s departmental budget, while state aid will be in the amount of roughly $30.9 million.
The budget estimates tuition revenue will be $54.2 million.
The college currently has 14,000 enrolled students, including 11,000 Westchester County residents.
