Spavia, a day spa offering massage, skin care and body treatments, has opened its first New York franchise location at 250 Main St. in White Plains.
Owners Mike and Maria Hourigan have been residents of the area for more than 20 years and say the goal of the new day spa is to make the health benefits of massage and skin care part of everyday life for Westchester residents.
Founded in 2005, Spavia began with locations throughout the Denver area before expanding to Chicago, New Jersey, Nevada, Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, Washington and Texas.
The White Plains Spavia is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit spaviadayspa.com.
