Solarize Nyack Plus, a nonprofit that provides information on solar power to residents and businesses in Rockland County, will extend the deadline for its purchase discount program to August 1.
The program combines with state and federal incentives to cut the cost of going solar by more than half, according to a press release from the nonprofit.
The Solarize Nyack Plus program was initially set to end June 30, but increased demand encouraged organizers to extend it another month, Solarize Nyack Plus said. Residents and business owners in Rockland County who sign up for a free solar assessment by August 1 can qualify for group rates below market prices.
Sunrise Solar Solutions, a full-service solar company based in Briarcliff Manor, is the designated installer for both residential and commercial arrays.
