The KeyBank Foundation has given a $15,000 grant to the San Miguel Academy of Newburgh. The school offers a tuition-free alternative for boys in the fifth through eighth grades from underserved families in Newburgh. It strives to break through the cycle of poverty through education.
The Rev. Mark Connell, the school”™s executive director, said, “This grant will allow one of our students to begin or continue their education here at San Miguel Academy, which will put them on a path for future success.”
“At Key, we champion mentoring and youth academic programs in our local communities,” said Joe Markey, KeyBank Hudson Valley and Metro New York market president.
