QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY recently announced the following appointments.
Robert Joven, of North Haven, was recently appointed associate director for public services at the Health Sciences Library on Quinnipiac University”™s North Haven campus.
Joven is responsible for working with faculty and students in the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, the School of Health Sciences and the School of Nursing to provide curriculum support and training on the numerous educational resources available to them.
Previously, Joven was an information services librarian at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Before that, he worked at the New York University School of Medicine. Joven has a master”™s degree in library science from Long Island University and a bachelor”™s degree in biology from Southern Connecticut State University.
Carolyn M. Macica, of Woodbridge, was recently appointed to the founding faculty of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
As an assistant professor of medical sciences, Macica will teach courses in pharmacology and physiology at the medical school scheduled to open in the fall of 2013.
Previously, she was an assistant professor in the Division of Endocrinology at the Yale School of Medicine”™s Department of internal medicine. Macica has a doctorate and master”™s degree in pharmacology from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y.
