Allen Brown, executive director of The Nathaniel Witherell, recently announced the appointments of two seasoned executives to its management team.
W. Thomas Ellis of Norwalk joins as director of finance and Craig Dumont of Wolcott was named director of food service. Â
Ellis joins the Witherell with a background in banking and finance, most recently serving as vice president, business controls at Royal Bank of Scotland (NatWest markets) in Stamford. Prior to that, he was vice president of global credit products finance at Banc of America Securities in New York. He will oversee all aspects of financial operations at the 202-bed skilled nursing and rehab center.Â
Dumont will serve as the organizationӪs director of food service, overseeing dining operations for the WitherellӪs skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation facilities, the Caf̩ Witherell, and the town of Greenwich Senior Center.
Dumont has a long and proven track record in managing food-service operations for the elderly in a range of settings, including acute care, skilled nursing, rehab, independent living, memory care, assisted living and senior housing communities. For the last 17 years, he”™s risen through the ranks of Compass USA. Most recently, he held the position of senior director, overseeing operations for Compass USA, Masonicare & Lockwood Lodge and Morrison Community Living in Newtown and Wallingford.Â
The Nathaniel Witherell is on 24 acres just 2 miles from downtown Greenwich. The nonprofit is owned and operated by the town of Greenwich and has been serving the community for more than 114 years.
