Michael Imber has joined the Stamford and New York City offices of accounting and business advisory services firm EisnerAmper LLP. Imber is a restructuring specialist with more than 25 years of experience counseling clients through commercial Chapter 11 bankruptcies and municipal Chapter 9 bankruptcies as well as workouts and receiverships.
Prior to joining EisnerAmper, Imber led the state and local service line of a national consulting firm”™s public-sector services practice where he focused on fiscal sustainability for cities, counties and other government units.
He has also served as the restructuring adviser to the Nassau County Interim Finance Authority, the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority and several other major municipal transit authorities. Imber worked with creditors in Chapter 9 bankruptcy cases involving the city of Detroit and Jefferson County, Alabama.
