College administrator Darlene Benzenberg will return to work in the Hudson Valley region as registrar at SUNY Orange in Middletown.
Her appointment was announced on Tuesday by SUNY Orange President Kristine Young.
With more than 15 years of registration experience for both two-year and four-year educational institutions, Benzenberg most recently spent four years as associate university registrar for Rutgers University-Newark, where she was registrar for the university”™s School of Public Health.
She served as registrar at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh from 2006 through 2011 and previously served six years as coordinator of registration services at SUNY Sullivan. She also has worked as a software consultant and information technology assistant.
Working with other departments at SUNY Orange, the registrar”™s office facilitates students”™ registration, coordinates the academic calendar, develops course schedules and final examination schedules, monitors student grades and maintains student records and transcripts.
Benzenberg earned a bachelor”™s degree in organizational leadership and communication from Marist College in Poughkeepsie.
