Nine students from Byram Hills High School have completed a six-week internship program at The Bristal Assisted Living at Armonk. During the program, the students were involved in activities that included helping coordinate exercise routines, shadowing the recreation staff and spending quality time with the residents throughout the day. The students committed 30 hours a week to the program that gave them experience interning in key areas, which included recreation, memory care and dining services.
The Bristal at Armonk is operated by The Engel Burman Group, which also operates a Bristal in White Plains. The group operates 11 assisted living communities on Long Island, and a Bristal in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.
