A former acting under secretary for health in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has joined Remedy Partners in Danbury. The company is involved in various aspects of health care payments.
Poonam Alaigh is the new executive vice president of commercial business lines. She will help lead the company”™s ongoing diversification into new lines of business, serving commercial insurers and self-funded employers.
When with the VA, she helped oversee that health care system, which has more than 9 million enrolled veterans and an annual budget of more than $61 billion.
Prior to joining the VA, Alaigh served as commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
