Westchester County Airport is adding 60 new parking spots as a temporary measure to accommodate the uptick in passenger numbers during the Thanksgiving season.
The new spots will be adjacent to the long-term and overflow parking area and near an existing parking garage. The garage vendor will manage the new spots and the revenue generated by their addition will be shared with the county.
With the temporary spots, the airport will have 1,675 parking spaces available for the holiday. Airport officials encouraged travelers to make use of its online parking reservation system while also recommending off-site parking options including the SUNY Purchase shuttle service.
