An employee at DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown will receive the hotel company”™s highest honor at an awards ceremony Wednesday.
Catering manager Celeste Reeves won the Light & Warmth award, which Hilton Worldwide gives to one employee out of its 300,000-member staff each year. The award recognizes exceptional performance and includes a check for $10,000.
Senior executives from Hilton Worldwide will be joined by local, county, state and congressional officials for the 4 p.m. event at the hotel, 455 S. Broadway in Tarrytown.
Reeves received the Spirit of CARE award last year, which recognized her as a top performer within DoubleTree by Hilton hotels.
Richard Friedman, the hotel”™s general manager since it reopened in 2008, won the 2014 Outstanding General Manager of the Year award from the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association. In 2013, the hotel was awarded the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence in hospitality.
