Connecticut and New York”™s average price for a gallon of gasoline have fallen below the national average.
According to AAA, the national average is $3.466. Connecticut”™s state average is $3.315, the lowest price for the New England states. New York”™s state average is $3.462, the second highest for the northeast ”“ Pennsylvania”™s average of $3.627 is the region”™s highest.
Within Connecticut, Windham County had the highest average among the county submarkets at $3.366, slightly above Fairfield County”™s average of $3.363.
Across the state line, three Hudson Valley counties had prices above the national average: Westchester ($3.604), Putnam ($3.560) and Dutchess ($3.546). Sullivan and Ulster counties tied for the lowest average at $3.416.
