Xerox”™s Global Imaging Systems (GIS) subsidiary has acquired MT Business Technologies, a Mansfield, Ohio-based multibrand reseller of office equipment, productivity solutions and managed print services serving the Ohio and southeastern Michigan markets. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Norwalk-headquartered Xerox stated that the acquisition was part of its strategy to expand in the $20 billion multibrand reseller industry. MT Business Technologies offers the company new market opportunities in Ohio, particularly in metro areas including Cleveland and Columbus.
“This gives us the opportunity to expand our local network and generate increased revenue, while also providing more customers with industry-leading technology and innovative services to meet today”™s business needs,” said Michael Pietrunti, GIS”™ senior vice president of acquisitions, corporate services and marketing.
Chuck Rounds, MT Business Technologies”™ president, will retain his title after the acquisition.
