IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Cleveland Clinic have partnered on what is being billed as the first deployment of a U.S.-based onsite private sector IBM-managed quantum computer.
According to the Armonk-based company, the IBM Quantum System One installed at Cleveland Clinic is the first quantum computer in the world to be uniquely dedicated to health care research.
The announcement is the latest endeavor in the organizations”™ 10-year Discovery Accelerator partnership that began in 2021, with the mission of using high-performance computing, artificial intelligence and quantum computing to advance biomedical research.
