Danbury Mayor Dean Esposito has announced an event celebrating the career of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Glover Teixeira and his commitment to the city of Danbury.
The event will take place on Feb. 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Portuguese Cultural Center, 65 Sand Pit Road in Danbury. This event will be free and open to the public.
“I am honored to host this event in recognition of Glover Teixeira”™s dedication to the City of Danbury,” said Esposito in a statement. “Glover is an excellent role model to so many throughout our community, and his story of perseverance and hard work is truly inspiring. I hope all Danburians will join us as we celebrate and honor my friend Glover Teixeira.”
