SCORE NYC has partnered with the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) New York District Office to offer resources and services to small businesses hurt by Hurricane Sandy.
The collaborative effort will offer free counseling and comprehensive business assessment, as well as development strategies designed to keep small companies afloat during the recovery process.
SCORE, an organization that mentors small businesses, will provide the counselors who can assist owners in planning the next steps that will help businesses get overcome the challenges property damage, including physical relocation and what is possible before and after disaster loans are received.
Disaster loans in New York have totaled $11 million as of Nov. 19 for both home and businesses.
