The results of a “Buy Local” study initiated by the Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce and The Acceleration Project will be presented at the Scarsdale Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The Acceleration Project assembled a team of 19 consultants, industry experts and interns to develop recommendations to drive more customers to Scarsdale businesses.
To produce the study, the group fielded a quantitative survey to assess consumer buying behavior and preferences, with 517 consumers responding. The group also interviewed more than 60 businesses and garnered 50 business survey responses to gauge business perceptions, and researched best practices. The group says it identified 20 effective initiatives in communities across the country and other examples locally.
