New York Times columnist Adam Bryant will be sharing “Lessons from the Corner Office: Qualities of Effective Leadership,” during a Nov. 18 appearance at Manhattanville College in Purchase.
In addition to his “Corner Office” column for the newspaper, Bryant is also the author of “The Corner Office: Indispensable and Unexpected Lessons from CEOs on How to Lead and Succeed.” His next book, “Quick and Nimble: Lessons from Leading CEOs on How to Create a Culture of Innovation,” is due in January.
The talk will kick off the college”™s School of Graduate and Professional Studies 20th Anniversary Speaker Series. A networking reception will also be part of the evening, scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the campus”™ Reid Castle.
With participants expected to include members of the Manhattanville community, from alumni to students to faculty, the event is also open to those in the Westchester and Fairfield business communities.
Bryant will share his insights into what qualities set high performers apart and other lessons he has learned from interviewing hundreds of CEOs and business leaders.

The “Insights into Leadership” series will offer speakers with a broad range of business expertise, presenting their views on local, national and global trends. The series is scheduled to spotlight global finance, sport business, marketing communications and human-resource management.
