Eversource (NYSE:ES) and Ørsted, developers of the Revolution Wind offshore wind farm, Revolution Wind, are collaborating with UConn Avery Point on a multi-year fisheries research program to study further the relationship between offshore wind farms and marine life.
Eversource and Ørsted awarded a $1.25 million grant to UConn Avery Point to fund the program, which kicked off this semester and run through 2025. This research partnership is designed to better understand the sustainability aspects of offshore wind construction and maintenance.

UConn researchers, including our superb students, have a unique opportunity to help advance sustainable and renewable technologies and study potential impact directly from Connecticut’s shoreline.”
