YOGASMOGA, the New York City-based yoga apparel store, said this week it will open a store in The Westchester in White Plains by the end of the year.
The store, expected to open in either November or December, will be the two-year-old company’s first location in New York. The company also expects to open locations in Short Hills, New Jersey; Corte Madera and Walnut Creek in California, and Boston by December.
YOGASMOGA co-founder and CEO Rishi Bali said the company, which also has a location in Greenwich, will have 12 stores in total by the end of the year.
“We are carefully cultivating the growth of YOGASMOGA and are proud to announce new locations in partnership with the nation”™s top retail centers,” Bali said. “We are building a leading brand with a deep connection to its consumers and we are eager to dive into the 2015 holiday season with strong performances both in-store and online.”
The company said it anticipates opening 25 new stores in New York City, Florida, Colorado, Hawaii and Canada in by 2016. It will have 12 stores in total by the end of this year.
The brand is considered a direct competition to Vancouver-based apparel company Lululemon.
