Dick”™s to open in White Plains next year
Dick”™s Sporting Goods is scheduled to open next year in a 55,000-square-foot first-floor space vacated by Fortunoff at The Source in White Plains.
The bankrupt jewelry and home furnishings retailer vacated the space in May 2009 in the company”™s liquidation sale.
Dick”™s Sporting Goods is expected to open April 2011, according to Issie Shaitt, senior vice president of property management at Massachusetts-based New England Development, property manager for Source owners Bloomingdale Road Investors, an affiliate of UBS.
Dick”™s Sporting Goods”™ spokesperson at the headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pa., declined to comment on the White Plains plans until closer to the opening date.
In Fairfield County in Connecticut, the sporting goods giant plans to open a 50,000-square-foot store in the Danbury Fair Mall.
Purchase printing firm acquired
Forms & Media Products Inc. in Purchase, a printing and promotional products company, has been acquired by Chicago-based InnerWorkings L.L.C., a global printer and promotional solutions provider.
The company is in the process of integration and all purchase orders and invoices were generated by InnerWorkings as of Oct. 1, according to Forms & Media Products President James Wesley.
He will now represent InnerWorkings in a sales and marketing capacity within the promotional products division.
Wesley said Forms & Media had a presence in both New York City and Westchester County and will maintain that presence
Wesley said InnerWorkings will still service Forms & Media”™s had a presence in New York City, but that that “we will definitely represent the same territory” in Westchester County.
“Our company, as you know it, will remain intact and continue to provide you with the exceptional service you have come to expect from us,” Wesley said in a letter announcing the acquisition. “Only now, we will have the capabilities to offer you a wider range of services and increased product selection, including direct mail, point-of-purchase, as well as full print procurement outsourcing solutions.”
Anthony”™s comes to White Plains
Anthony”™s Coal Fired Pizza has opened at 264 Main St. in downtown White Plains. The South Florida-based restaurant concept utilizes 800-degree anthracite coal-burning ovens, which elicits well-done pizza without the smoke.
“We”™re receiving a tremendous response in our new locations as we begin introducing the Anthony”™s Coal Fired Pizza concept to the Northeast, and we”™re very excited about expanding the brand in some places I know well,” said founder Anthony Bruno, in a statement.
Dan Marino, Hall of Fame football legend and notable Miami Dolphins quarterback, is a partner in the restaurant chain that launched in 2002.
There are 25 Anthony”™s Coal Fired Pizza locations. Locations in Delaware and Pennsylvania opened earlier this year and there are further plans for future expansion in the Northeast.
Flooring Liquidators opens in Mount Kisco
A Flooring Liquidators location has opened at 156 N. Bedford Road, Mount Kisco, and features a 6,000-square-foot retail store, which consists of a 3,500-square-foot showroom and a 2,500-square-foot warehouse.
The tristate-based complete flooring company operates as a start-to-finish supplier; the Northern Westchester store will sell inventory like antique reproduction hardwood floors, wall-to-wall carpeting and wide varieties of tile, laminate and vinyl.
Princeton Realty Group L.L.C. in Pleasantville represented the landlord and tenant in the 10-year lease agreement.
In the tristate, Flooring Liquidators operates stores in Elmsford and Teterboro, N.J.; its third New York store is expected to open in Lake Carmel in January with an intention to open three more stores by the end of 2012.
