Bloomy Cheese & Provisions is holding a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting on March 2 for its store at 3 Cedar St. in Dobbs Ferry.
The ceremonies will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will include free-flowing tastes of Bloomy”™s offerings such as cheese, charcuterie and wine, as well as a DJ set by London”™s Dr Bloom.
Bloomy sells locally and globally sourced provisions including charcuterie, olive oil, crackers, preserves, tinned fish and fresh bread, as well as handcrafted homewares to enhance the experience of gathering with loved ones. Bloomy also offers a Cheese of the Month Club and provides catering, private events and tastings.
The store opened last November after a year as a pop-up at HudCo, the Dobbs Ferry coworking and event space. Owner Jessica Galen was previously a general manager at Lucy”™s Whey, a cheese shop in Manhattan”™s Upper West Side ”“ she is returning to cheese retailing after working as the head of communications at Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills.
“This is really a dream come true,” said Galen. “It”™s an honor to bring the work of incredible cheesemakers and other producers to the Rivertowns while building a platform for community and collaborations.”
