Bicycle World, the Mount Kisco-based family-owned company, donated 17 refurbished children”™s bicycles to the local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester.
The bikes are specifically for families who could not otherwise afford one. Children who have already submitted a request to the Boys and Girls Club to receive a bicycle this year are on tap to get one of a selection of the donated bikes.
The company recently revealed the demand for used bicycles in Westchester County has gone up. To that end, Bicycle World continues to buy trade-ins from customers ranging from mountain bikes to children’s bikes to refurbish and sell them.
