Jimmy”™s Deli, a family-run eatery that has been a Norwalk staple since 1989, closed on June 30.
In a social media post, the Iosifides family that owns the deli at 65 Van Zant St. announced they were ending operations.
“After over 30 years of serving East Norwalk, our family has decided to shut our doors,” the family”™s posting said. “We will miss all the people we met over the years, the memories we have made and all the mouths we have fed. We want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing customers and staff for supporting us through the years! We will miss you all dearly!”
The deli ”“ which offered a breakfast menu and pizza along with a mix of salads, sandwiches, burgers and grilled entrees ”“ held 4.5 out of five-star ratings on the Yelp, TripAdvisor and MenuPix review platforms.
