A popular Beacon restaurant that closed earlier this year is coming back in an unlikely location.
The Italian restaurant Roma Nova announced on Jan. 6 that it was forced to close its 6 Eliza St. location after 25 years “due to circumstances beyond our reach.” The Hudson Valley Post reported the circumstances in question was the sale of the restaurant”™s location to new owners who were going to hike the rent.
However, the restaurant”™s owners took to Facebook this week to announce Roma Nova is returning.
“Yes, the rumors are true!” the Facebook posting said. “Its official! Roma Nova has a new home!!! 435 Fishkill Ave. ”¦ or as some of you might know it as ”¦ ”˜The old Dunkin”™ Donuts.”™ We have been working now more than ever around the clock to open up our doors and welcome our family back! So make sure to check back for an opening date!!”
