Normandy Real Estate Partners this year has seen the largest volume of leasing activity at The Exchange, its Westchester office park portfolio, for the first half of any year since it took over the Platinum Mile properties in 2009, the company reported.
CBRE brokers represented the New Jersey-based landlord in lease deals closed in the first two quarters that totaled more than 235,000 square feet of office space at Normandy”™s 1.6 million-square-foot, 14-building Exchange in Harrison and White Plains. The owner noted the following deals among the stepped-up leasing activity:
- Citrin Cooperman & Co. LLP expanded its space to 27,000 square feet at 709 Westchester Ave, where the accounting company now occupies a full floor.
- Stewart Title Guaranty Co. signed a long-term lease extension for 10,000 square feet of office space at 711 Westchester Ave.
- New York Life Insurance Co. expanded to 32,000 square feet of space to occupy a full floor at 777 Westchester Ave.
- The law firm Schiavetti, Corgan, DiEdwards, Weinberg & Nicholson LLP renewed its lease and moved to an 8,000-square-foot space at 711 Westchester Ave.
From CBRE”™s Stamford office, the leasing team of Brian Carcaterra, senior vice president, Michael McCall, vice president, and associate Morgan Collins represented Normandy in the transactions.
Matthew Lavell, vice president of Normandy Real Estate Partners, said this year has been notable for “a record amount of expansions and long-term extensions from many of our largest tenants.”
The company said it has invested more than $30 million in the ongoing redevelopment of The Exchange. Corporate tenants include J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo and UBS.
