 
Forest City Ratner Cos. announced last week that fashion retailer Saks Fifth Avenue signed a letter of intent to anchor the company”™s mixed-use development, Yonkers”™ Ridge Hill, under construction between the New York state Thruway and Sprain Brook Parkway.
It will be the only Saks Fifth Avenue in the county. ?“We are very excited about expanding Saks Fifth Avenue”™s presence in metropolitan New York City,” said Steve Sadove, chairman and chief executive officer of Saks Inc. “We have looked for the right opportunity in Westchester for some time, and Ridge Hill”™s sophisticated, upscale setting will be an ideal location for our store.”
The 80,000-square-foot store will be on two levels.
Ridge Hill will have 1.2 million square feet of retail and entertainment space with tenants including Banana Republic, L.L.Bean and a multiplex cinema by National Amusements as well as dozens of other local and national retailers and restaurants.
Ridge Hill will also have 150,000 square feet of office and research facilities. The residential component will have up to 1,000 apartments.
