The Rye mansion that was originally the home to the automotive industry”™s Dodge family was sold for $12.25 million.
The 2.82-acre waterfront property at 859 Forest Ave. features an 8,800-square-foot Georgian Colonial mansion built in 1910 that features eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The residence was designed by Trowbridge and Livingston, the architects of Manhattan”™s St. Regis Hotel and Hayden Planetarium. The property also includes an in-ground pool, a beach and a deep-water dock.
Coldwell Banker RealtyӪs Global Luxury Specialist Mich̬le Flood closed the deal, which was the fifth priciest waterfront home ever sold in Rye. The property last changed hands in 1999 for $4.6 million.
