The region”™s Empire Access Multiple Listing Service will be headed again in 2012 by Gary Leogrande, principal broker of Keller Williams NY Realty in White Plains. It is his third term as president of the residential real estate service, whose territory includes Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Bronx counties.
Leogrande, who holds a fine arts degree from Manhattan”™s School of Visual Arts, owned a design company for 12 years before entering the residential real estate business, where he has had a 25-year career.
The listing services”™s board of directors also elected these officers to serve in 2012: J. Philip Faranda, of J. Philip Real Estate, Briarcliff Manor, vice president, northern Westchester; Leah Caro, of Bronxville-Ley Real Estate, Bronxville, vice president, southern Westchester; Eileen Barrett, of Houlihan Lawrence, Brewster, vice president, Putnam; Wayne Kokinda, of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty, Briarcliff Manor, treasurer, and Louise Colonna, of Coldwell Banker, White Plains, secretary.
The Empire Access Multiple Listing Service is owned by the recently formed Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, which represents brokers in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Orange counties. The Dutchess County Association of Realtors also has expressed interest in merging with the regional association formed in 2011.
The Empire service has 872 participating real estate offices and some 11,000 properties in its database. It is among the top 50 largest multiple listing services in the nation.
