Peckham Industries Inc., a family-owned road construction materials company, is marketing its North White Plains property as the potential site of a transit-oriented multifamily development.
The company has named CBRE Group Inc. as the exclusive sales agent for a 1.67-acre site near the North White Plains Metro-North Railroad station, CBRE announced this week.
From the commercial real estate services firm”™s Stamford office, the marketing will be spearheaded by William V. Cuddy Jr., executive vice president, and Jacqueline Novonty, senior associate. Brokers said the property consists of several adjacent parcels at 20 Haarlem Ave. ”“ where Peckham Industries has its headquarters – 18 Glenn St. and 2, 7, 11 and 20 Holland Ave.
Conceptual plans indicate the site can accommodate approximately 175 residential units in addition to a public park, according to CBRE.
“Development of multifamily residential properties near transportation hubs is a major industry trend throughout the country and particularly in Westchester County,” Cuddy said in the sale announcement.  The Peckham property “is the definition of transit-oriented development with ”˜live, work, and play”™ benefits.”
