Home prices in the Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk market, including distressed sales, increased in May by 2 percent from April, according to new data from CoreLogic. On a year-over-year measurement, home prices for this market were up by 0.6 percent.
In comparison, home prices nationally in May were up 1.2 percent from April and up 6.6 percent from May 2016. CoreLogic is forecasting nationwide home prices will increase by 5.3 percent on a year-over-year basis from May 2017 to May 2018, and will show a 0.9 percent upswing from May 2017 to June 2017.
