A defunct historic church in Congers has been listed for sale at $500,000.
First Presbyterian Church of Congers opened in 1891 but closed last May following a severe decline in congregation membership. Located at 17 Highway Ave., the 5,540-square-foot church on a half-acre is being advertised as offering “the Original Classic Steeple, stained glass window, antique wooden pews, comfortably carpeted floors and an original liturgical pulpit.”
