First County Bank has quietly listed its branch building at 160 Atlantic St. in Stamford for sale at an undisclosed price.
The 6,902-square-foot brick and stone building was constructed in 1939 and features two separate mezzanine levels, a large vault, marble teller stations and 13 on-site parking spaces. The branch building is within the Stamford Central Business District adjacent to the Stamford Town Center Mall.
The listing went on the Cushman & Wakefield website last month without special fanfare, and the first public attention given to the listing came yesterday afternoon in a Stamford Patch report.
It is not known if the branch will be located to another Stamford site or permanently removed from the branch network. The bank did not respond to telephone and email contact by the Business Journal for clarification.
