GHP buys 24 condo units in Port Chester
An entity of GHP Office Realty L.L.C. in Harrison paid $3.1 million for 24 units in a 7-year-old Port Chester condominium complex sold by HSBC.
GHP Office Purchasing L.L.C. paid $129,166 per unit at Brookchester Court, a two-building, 39-unit complex at 342 Westchester Ave. Initially operated as rental apartments, a former owner in 2007 converted the apartments to condos and sold 15 units.
Christopher Leonard of CB Richard Ellis”™ New York Institutional Group and Gene Pride of CBRE”™s Private Capital Group represented HSBC in the sale and procured the buyer.
Pride in a press release said the property gives GHP flexibility to either lease the units to tenants or sell to homeowners.
The broker said CBRE received 15 purchase offers, evidence of “robust” demand for multifamily assets in lower Westchester County.
Attorneys expand Elmsford practice
Knuckles, Komosinski & Elliott L.L.P., a law firm representing institutional lenders in foreclosures and other real estate litigation, has expanded to 9,514 square feet of office space after signing a lease extension at 565 Taxter Road in Elmsford”™s Taxter Corporate Park.
Howard E. Greenberg, president of Howard Properties Ltd. in White Plains, represented the tenant in the deal with office-park owner Mack-Cali Realty Corp.
Law firm moves to Tarrytown
Insler & Hermann L.L.P., a law firm representing disability claimants, this month is moving its headquarters from Elmsford to Tarrytown.
The company signed a 3,220-square-foot lease with landlord RXR Realty L.L.C. at 560 White Plains Road in the Tarrytown Corporate Center. The firm”™s main office was at 80 Grasslands Road in Elmsford.
The tenant was represented by Budd Wiesenberg, vice president in the Stamford, Conn., office of CB Richard Ellis. RXR Realty was represented by Senior Vice President Joel Cardillo.
Wiesenberg said the law firm will nearly double the size of it practice with the relocation. Insler & Hermann also has offices in Wappingers Falls, Danbury, Conn., and Hackensack, N.J.
New tenant, lease renewal in Purchase
Brokers at Newmark Knight Frank”™s Greenwich, Conn., office signed one long-time tenant and one relocating financial services and investment company to leases at The Centre at Purchase.
Fisher Development Associates L.L.C., a diversified real estate development and management firm, signed a five-year renewal for 5,613 square feet of space at 2 Manhattanville Road in the four-building Purchase office park.
Safaei Management Inc., operating as Wedbush Securities, signed a three-year lease for 1,617 square feet of space at 2 Manhattanville Road.
