The owner of a vacant office-park property in Harrison shed an approximately $7.6-million debt in a recent quitclaim deed transaction with his mortgage lender.
Allan V. Rose, owner and chief executive officer of AVR Realty Co. LLC in Yonkers, and an AVR affiliate turned over 104 Corporate Park Drive to GLIC Real Estate Holding LLC, an affiliate of Genworth Financial Inc., a Fortune 500 insurance company in Richmond, Va.
The five-story, 118,000-square-foot building was vacated this year by its sole tenant, Malcolm Pirnie Inc. The downsized environmental services company relocated its headquarters to an approximately 87,000-square-foot space in Westchester One at 44 S. Broadway in downtown White Plains.
The 6 1/2-acre Corporate Park Drive property had been marketed for sale or lease by Austin Corporate Properties for about a year. Its full assessed value is $14.2 million, according to the Harrison assessor”™s office.
Renewables Group renews lease
Renewables Group LLC, a renewable-energy investment firm, renewed its lease for 2,190 square feet of office space at 10 Bank St. in White Plains. A tenant there since 2006, the firm signed an early renewal.
Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of Malkin Properties, owner and manager of the 225,000-square-foot building, represented the landlord along with Malkin Properties leasing associates Kimberly Zaccagnino and Jovani Rampersad.
