The Rockland County property that was once the home and workplace for iconic artist Jasper Johns has been listed for sale for $600,000.
The 1.29-acre property at 160 West Main St. in Stony Point features a 2,100-square foot built in 1930 that includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a spacious art studio and a separate efficiency guest house.
Johns bought the property for $48,000 in 1973 and sold it for $285,000 in 1995. The property changed hands last February for $380,000 ”“ it is unclear if any substantial changes were made to the property in the last three months before it was listed again.
