A fair and affordable housing expo will be held March 15 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is free to attend and will showcase the affordable housing opportunities for those generally earning between 30 percent and 80 percent of the county’s median income. The 2013 median income was $73,000 for a single person household and $104,200 for a family of four.
Details on the county’s application and selection process will be available at the event. Mortgage lenders and nonprofit credit counselors will be standing by for questions.
Several home ownership and renting opportunities are listed on the county government’s website. At 1 p.m. a workshop will discuss ways to navigate the site, as well as details regarding the Westchester County Housing Settlement.
The Westchester County Center is located at 198 Central Ave.
