Beginning today, the University of Connecticut is reinstating its mask mandate on all of its properties.
According to a statement issued by the school, the decision was based on “a substantial rise in COVID-19 positivity rates both in the state of Connecticut and on UConn”™s Storrs campus and the potential risk this poses to the remainder of the in-person semester and commencement.”
The masking requirement will in place within all indoor instructional settings, workspaces, and indoor events exceeding 100 individuals, with the policy remaining through the end of final exams and the end of the semester. However, the physical distancing aspects of the Covid protocols will not be required and UConn”™s catering and dining guidance will remain unchanged.
