The Norwalk-headquartered Financial Accounting Foundation has announced leadership changes to two of its boards.
The board of trustees has elected Kathleen L. Casey as its next chairwoman. Casey, whose three-year terms begins on Jan. 1, is a senior adviser at Patomak Global Partners, a financial services consultancy in Washington, D.C., and was a commissioner on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2006 to 2011.
She also serves as a director of HSBC Holdings PLC and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., more commonly known as Freddie Mac.
The board of trustees also announced the appointment of Richard R. Jones as the next chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Jones is chief accountant and partner at Ernst & Young LLP and his chairmanship will begin on July 1, when the current chairman Russell G. Gordon”™s four-year term concludes.
