Dawn Berry, of Nyack, was recently appointed by the Castle Hotel & Spa in Tarrytown as spa manager of its new THANN Sanctuary Spa. Prior to opening her own practice, Berry served as a spa manager/massage therapist in Nyack, where she created and developed a comprehensive spa menu of services and implemented new and innovative treatments.
Berry has excelled at initiating business growth and development tactics, managed weekly payroll, daily revenue, product inventory, troubleshooting and monitoring performance and efficiencies at spas, salons, and health clubs in the area. She has a B.S. in sports therapy from SUNY New Paltz and is a licensed massage therapist specializing in therapeutic massage.
Glenn Pacchiana, of Briarcliff Manor, has been named to the board of directors of the New York League of Conservation Voters, one of the state”™s largest environmental advocacy organizations. Pacchiana is president and CEO of Thalle Industries Inc., a family-owned business based in Briarcliff Manor.
Established in 1985, Thalle Industries is an environmentally responsible producer and leading supplier of high-quality virgin and recycled aggregate and asphalt products for the construction industry. Pacchiana is a major supporter of the environmental groups Riverkeeper, Scenic Hudson and the Fresh Air Fund.
Kate Tierney was recently promoted by The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester to sales manager, group sales. Tierney began her career with Ritz-Carlton as a market research analyst/sales assistant with Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City in 2005 and was promoted to sales manager in February 2012. She joined The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester as a senior sales manager.
In her new position, she will be responsible for pro-actively soliciting and managing group sales opportunities. Tierney has a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from the University of Delaware.
