HARRIET CORNELL, Rockland County Legislature chairwoman, was awarded the Rockland County Bar Association Liberty Bell Award at the annual Law Day Celebration held May 1 at the Rockland County Courthouse. The Liberty Bell Award is given each year by the local bar association to honor outstanding work by citizens within the local community who seek to strengthen the effectiveness of the American system of freedom.
SCENIC HUDSON, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Hudson River Valley, was recently presented the Heissenbuttel Award for Planning Excellence by the New York Planning Federation for its publication titled “Revitalizing Hudson Riverfronts.” The award is presented to an individual, municipality or agency for outstanding accomplishment in the planning field each year.
