Westport Museum for History and Culture hosts “Make the Museum (or other historic building) Gingerbread Contest.” Entrants can create, with gingerbread, museum headquarters Bradley-Wheeler House, another historic Westport building or their own antique home in either the family or individual category. Gingerbread creations will be judged by celebrity judges: Victoria Kann, author of “Pinkalicious;” Stephanie Webster, founder, CTBITES; chef Bill Taibe; and Edward Gerber of Historic New England.
Bradley-Wheeler House, the museum”™s headquarters, at 25 Avery Place, Westport, was purchased in 1981. The house, built in 1795, was remodeled in the Italianate style in the 19th Century and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Connecticut Register of Historic Places as well as a Historic Landmark.
