Founded in 1999, Collado Engineering (CE) is a full-service MEP consulting engineering firm serving Westchester, NYC, and tri-state area. Based in White Plains, CE has been associated with an impressive roster of private companies and public organizations in virtually every market sector of the built environment. The Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown and infrastructure upgrades for the Town of North Castle highlight two of our numerous contributions to Westchester.
Collado has worked closely with the National Trust for Historic Preservation at the Lyndhurst Mansion for many years. The firm has advised the Trust on upgrades to the domestic water supply, expanding the electrical distribution, and provided engineering services for landscape restoration and general site improvements. Currently, CE is providing services for upgrades to the water and electrical services for the Greenhouse and Workshop. These upgrades include high voltage service and water service to a curb valve just outside of the building for future use and extension in the pool building. Additionally, empty conduits are being provided to these buildings as well as the north gate house and check booth to extend the telephone and data service in the future, and the existing domestic water service is being disconnected so the new service can serve as a combined domestic water and fire service.
Collado Engineering’s relationship with the Town of North Castle commenced in 2018 when retained to review the existing electrical distribution system at the town’s Department of Recreation and Parks building. In 2019, the firm performed an existing conditions assessment of the electrical service and distribution on the Town of North Castle campus including the Town Hall/Police Department, Annex Building, and Town Garage. A master plan was developed to increase the emergency power to these critical buildings which CE is now designing. A new natural gas-fueled emergency generator is being provided to supply backup power to all loads within the Town Hall/Police Department building and potential future building expansion. An existing military diesel-fueled generator will be used to supply the Annex Building and Town Highway Department Garage.
Over the years, CE has become widely regarded for our ability to achieve full understanding of a project’s requirements and to follow through with uniquely tailored solutions. It’s done through an approach that has been vetted over time: Listen, Question, and Observe. The firm’s goal has been and continues to be straightforward: to deliver value to clients and society. Collado’s team of professionals bring a combination of the latest technology and methods, and the old-fashioned values of respect, diligence, and perseverance and considers it a privilege to provide services.
